At Pine Forest Martial Arts, we teach a very traditional style of Okinawan karate known as Shorin-Ryu, which was . Our specific brand of Shorin-Ryu comes from Grandmaster Fusei Kise and is known as Kenshin Kan. Our dojo is a chartered dojo of Grandmaster Fusei Kise's Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Matsumura-Seito Karate and Kobudo Federation (OSMKKF).

Our karate classes are taught with real life application for today’s world rather then tournament style. We focus on safety awareness, self-discipline, self-confidence, coordination, respect, physical fitness, and setting goals.
Youth Karate – Open to Everyone ages 7 yrs & Up
Adult Karate – Open to Everyone ages 16 yrs & Up
- Empty-hand (空手) - the practice of Kihon (basic blocks, punches, kicks), Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring).
- Kobudo (古武道) - the "old martial way" of using traditional Okinawan weapons such as the bo, sai, kama, tonfa and nunchaku. Kobudo study allows students to keep the ancient martial way alive, while at the same time giving them confidence in being able to defend against an attacker with a weapon.
- Tuite (取手術) - the ancient Okinawan art of using wrist, elbow, and arm locks to capture, throw and bring under control an attacker. Tuite is often called “grappling”; however, unlike most other grappling arts, the goal of Tuite is for the practitioner to stay standing and in control while the opponent is brought to the ground and submitted.

Beginner Youth Karate – $70 per month
Karate – $95 per month
There is a Registration Fee for all of the above classes. Registration fee includes cost of uniform.
Discounts available for family plans, active military, law enforcement, first responders, and all their direct families. We also offer long-term registration discounts.
